This breathing clinic and its exercises are suitable for most people, but there are a number of conditions not suitable for this training, including:
Group 1: Those who have the following, can participate in the breathing clinic, but should have a very gentle air shortage only:

Group 1 should avoid performing the following exercises or only perform them with a gentle and short breath holds: Decongest the Nose exercise and the Breath Holding when Walking, Sitting or Steps exercise. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your medical doctor for guidance.
Group 2: This group should never have an air shortage more than what you feel during a gentle walk. You will be able to achieve this with the reduced breathing exercises and also the exercise to decrease anxiety/wheezing or a coughing attack:
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Severe asthmatics
- Severe emphysema
- Severe COPD
- Pregnant women in their 1st trimester
- Anxiety/depression

With either group 1 or 2 symptoms or diagnosis, you are better off working one-on-one with us in person. If you are outside of Chicago, you can find a local practitioner at ButeykoClinic.com
